Cardamom prices rose by Rs 10.10 to Rs 763 per kg in futures trade today on rising demand in the spot market due to the ongoing festive season.

Tight stock availability amid restricted arrivals from producing regions further fuelled the uptrend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, November cardamom added another Rs 10.10, or 1.34%, to Rs 763 per kg, with a business turnover of 91 lots.

The October delivery moved up by Rs 9.30, or 1.33%, to Rs 709.70 per kg in 298 lots.

Analysts said rising demand in the spot market support by ongoing festive season amid less arrivals from producing region mainly pushed cardamom futures prices up.
