Cardamom futures prices fell by 0.15% to Rs 663.50 per kg today, as speculators reduced their positions, driven by a weak trend at spot market on sluggish demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in March declined by Re 1, or 0.15%, to Rs 663.50 per kg in business turnover of 155 lots.

Similarly, the spice for delivery in February traded lower by 30 paise, or 0.05%, to Rs 634 per kg in 858 lots.

Market analysts said traders reduced their positions on the back of weak trend at spot market on subdued demand mainly helped cardamom futures to trade lower.
