Cardamom remains weak on sluggish demand

Subdued demand against adequate stocks availability at spot market mainly kept pressure on cardamom prices at futures market

Amid sluggish spot market demand, cardamom prices fell by Rs 8.20 to Rs 1,221.80 per kg in futures trade today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the June contract declined by Rs 8.20, or 0.67%, to Rs 1,221.80 per kg, with a business turnover of 599 lots.

The May contract shed Rs 5.30, or 0.44%, to Rs 1,193.30 per kg, with a business turnover of 1,821 lots.

Market analysts said subdued demand against adequate stocks availability at spot market mainly kept pressure on cardamom prices at futures market.
