Cardamom rises 0.5% on pick up in demand

Prices rose as speculators created fresh positions

Cardamom futures for April rose by Rs 4.70, or 0.52%, to Rs 908.10 per kg in 394 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the May contract edged up by Rs 2.10, or 0.23% to Rs 916.20 per kg in 49 lots.

Prices rose as speculators created fresh positions, driven by pick-up in spot market demand against limited arrivals from producing regions.
