Cardamom up 0.6% on seasonal demand

Cardamom futures for February rose by Rs 6.50, or 0.6%, to Rs 1,075.50 per kg in 698 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the March contracts traded Rs 5.20, or 0.47%, higher at Rs 1,108.90 per kg in 225 lots.

speculators enlarged positions, driven by seasonal demand in the spot markets.

Restricted arrivals from growing belts supported the upside in cardamom futures trade.

Rising spot market demand due to marriage season pushed up cardamom prices.
