Cardamom prices rose by 0.62% to Rs 803 per kg in futures trade today as traders enlarged their commitments, supported by a pick-up in export and domestic demand.

Besides, tight stocks position in the spot market on lower arrivals from producing regions also influenced prices, traders said.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in November rose by Rs 5, or 0.62%, to Rs 803 per kg, with a business turnover of 72 lots.

Similarly, the spice for delivery in October edged up by Rs 4, or 0.53%, to Rs 756.80 per kg with trading volume of 599 lots.
