Cashew rises on fresh buying

Cashew prices rose by Rs 25 per kg in the national capital today, largely on pick up in buying activity on firm domestic demand due to ongoing festive and marriage season. 

Tight supplies from growing regions also supported the upside in prices.

Cashew kernel No 180, No 210, No 240 and No 320 rose by Rs 25 to settle at Rs 590-610, Rs 540-560, Rs 485-500 and Rs 425-460 per kg respectively.

Market analysts said increased buying by retailers and stockists against tight supplies from growing regions pushed up cashew prices.
