Cashew rises on fresh buying

Cashew prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today, largely on pick up in buying activity on firm domestic demand to meet for the festive and marriage season.

Tight supplies from growing regions also supported the upside in prices.

Cashew kernel No 180, No 210, No 240 and No 320 rose by Rs 5 to settle at Rs 615-645 Rs 580-600, Rs 520-540 and Rs 440-470 per kg, respectively.

Marketmen said increased buying by retailers and stockists against tight supplies from growing regions mainly pushed up cashew prices.
