Cashew rises on fresh buying

Cashew prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today largely on pick up in buying activity on firm domestic demand due to the ongoing marriage season.

Tight supplies from growing regions also supported the upside in prices. Cashew kernel No 180, No 210, No 240 and No 320 rose by Rs 5 to settle at Rs 625-665 Rs 595-605, Rs 535-545 and Rs 435-505 per kg, respectively.

Marketmen said increased buying by retailers and stockists, triggered by marriage season mainly pushed up cashew prices.
