Cashew rises on fresh buying

Cashew prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today largely on the back of fresh buying by retailers and stockists.

Tight supplies from growing regions also supported the upside in prices.

Cashew kernel No 180, No 210, No 240 and No 320 rose by Rs 5 each to conclude at at Rs 625-665, Rs 600-610, Rs 540-550 and Rs 440-510 per kg, respectively.

Marketmen said increased buying by retailers and stockists amid tight supplies from Southern region mainly pushed up cashew prices.
