Cashew rises on fresh buying support

Cashew prices rose by Rs 10 per kg in the national capital today, largely on pick up in buying activity on firm domestic demand due to winter season.

Tight supplies from growing regions also supported the upside in prices.

Cashew kernel No 180, No 210, No 240 and No 320 rose by Rs 10 to settle at Rs 640-650, Rs 580-590, Rs 525-530 and Rs 420-435 per kg, respectively. 

Market analysts said increased buying by retailers and stockists, triggered by winter season mainly pushed up cashew prices.
