Castorseed prices looked down by Rs 26 to Rs 3,947 per quintal in futures trade today on selling pressure at existing higher levels.

Marketmen said traders preferred to book profit at higher levels besides a weak spot market trend.

Increased supply of fresh crop in physical markets too helped in pulling down the prices, they added.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, castorseed for February contract drifted by Rs 26, or 0.65%, to Rs 3,947 per quintal in open interest of 46,590 lots.

Most active near January contract lean down by Rs 18, or 0.46%, to Rs 3,924 per quintal and open interest stood in 1,42,050 lots.

Current November contract also fell by Rs 9, or 0.25%, at Rs 3,604 per quintal in 78,980 lots.
