Castorseed down 1.1% further on renew selling

Castorseed for the October contract fell by 1.08%

Castorseed prices tumbled by Rs 43 to Rs 3,744 per quintal in futures trade today owing to renewed selling by traders in line due to steady supplies in local mandis and weak demand.

Marketmen said besides sustained selling by traders, increased arrivals and reduce offtake in domestric markets mainly pulled down the castorseed prices.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, castorseed for far January contract lost Rs.43, or 1.14% to Rs.3,744 per quintal in open interest of 71,480 lots.

Most active first October contract fell by Rs.37, or 1.08% to rs.3,402 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,31,590 lots.
 
Near November contract too decline by Rs.38, or 1.07% to R.3,500 per quintal, having an open interest of 41,770 lots.
