Castorseed down 1.7% on profit booking

Marketmen said selling pressure at existing higher levels pulled down prices

Castorseed prices fell by Rs 61 to Rs 3,472 per quintal in futures trading today following profit taking by traders at higher levels.

Marketmen said selling pressure at existing higher levels mainly pulled down prices.

Lower physical markets sentiment and thin export order also damapned the trading sentiment, they said.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, castorseed prices for current October contract moved down by Rs 61, or 1.73%, to Rs 3,472 per quintal, with an open interest of 68,710 lots.

Near November contract fell by Rs 55, or 1.52%, to Rs 3,566 per quintal, having an open interest of 84,340 lots.
 
Most active second last contract January month slipped by Rs 46, or 1.20%, to Rs 3,797 per quintal, in an open interest of 1,02,380 lots.
