Castorseed prices plummeted by Rs 191.50 to Rs 5,199 per quintal in future trading today on heavy selling by traders at existing higher levels.
Market analysts said after witnessing smart rise in last few session, traders preferred to book profits at existing higher levels.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, castorseed for May delivery contract declined by Rs 191.50 to Rs 5,199 per quintal, with an open interest of 120 lots.
Similarly, for delivery in March, castorseed prices fell by Rs 88, or 1.64 per cent, to Rs 5,275 per quintal, with an open interest of 9,290 lots.
