Castorseed prices rose by Rs 68 to Rs 3,888 per quintal in futures trade today following brisk buying by traders on firm spot markets sentiment.
Marketmen said pick up in demand from paint industries in spot markets mainly enthused the trading sentiment here in futures price of castorseed.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, castorseed for February contract rose by Rs 68, or 1.78%, to Rs 3,888 per quintal, with an open interest of 24,110 lots.
Most active January contract spurted by Rs 67, or 1.74%, to Rs 3,913 per quintal, in an open interest of 1,40,320 lots.
Near November contract rose by Rs 51, or 1.41%, to Rs 3,673 per quintal, having an open interest of 1,04,040 lots.
