Castorseed prices rose by Rs 52 to Rs 3,738 per quintal in futures trade today on low levels buying by traders in tandem with firm markets cues.
Traders said pick up in demand and fall in arrivals in markets mainly attributed to the rise in futures prices of castorseed here.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, castorseed prices for October month rose by Rs 3,738 per quintal, with an open interest of 2,630 lots.
Most active August contract improved by Rs 36, or 1.02% to Rs 3,553 per quintal, having an open interest of 1,68,140 lots.
Current July contract prices also gained by Rs 31, or 0.91% to Rs 3.448 per quintal, in an open interest of 71,100 lots.
