Castrol India has advanced around 5% on the back of fresh buying. The stock is currently trading near its 52-week high.
The stock opened at Rs 461 and zoomed to a high of Rs 491. The stock had touched its 52-week high on 6th August at Rs 492. The scrip is now trading at Rs 480, up 4.5% from the previous close. The counter has clocked volumes of 26,687 shares on the BSE. The stock has soared 25% in a month's time.
The company posted a net profit after tax of Rs 128.4 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009 as compared to Rs 82.8 crore for the previous quarter, a year ago. Total income increased to Rs 646.80 crore in the June quarter as against Rs 630.6 crore in the previous quarter a year ago.
Further, the company declared an interim dividend of Rs 10 per share.
