Century Textiles weakens despite jump in Q4 net

Century Textiles has shed weight despite registering a rise in Q4 net. The stock is quoting at Rs 508, weaker by 2.9%, on the BSE. The shares had opened at Rs 521 and have touched a high of Rs 530 and a low of Rs 506 thus far.

The textile company repoterd a 43.55% rise in net profit at Rs 339.5 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 2010 as as against Rs 236.5 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Total Income increased from Rs 3884.85 million for the year ended March 31, 2009 to Rs 4543.18 million for the year ended March 31, 2010.

 

The counter has seen total trades of 4.32 lakh shares as against the two-week average of 1.83 lakh shares.
