Chana down 0.47% on higher output hopes

Chana futures for April fell by Rs 16, or 0.47%, to Rs 3,410 per quintal in 77,030 lots.

At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange (NCDEX), the May contract traded lower by Rs 16, or 0.46% to Rs 3,457 per quintal in 19,940 lots.

Prices dropped as speculators trimmed positions amid expectations of higher output this season following expanded area under cultivation.
