Chana prices declined by Rs 41 to Rs 5,000 per quintal in futures trade today on sluggish demand at prevailing higher levels against adequate stock availability.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in October declined by Rs 41, or 0.81%, to Rs 5,000 per quintal, with an open interest for 20,770 lots.
The September contract shed Rs 38, or 0.77%, to Rs 4,902 per quintal in 89,300 lots.
Traders said sluggish demand at prevailing higher levels against adequate stock availability led to the decline in chana futures prices.
