Chana prices fell by Rs 51 to Rs 4,752 per quintal in futures trade today as speculators booked profits at existing higher levels, driven by subdued spot demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in November fell by Rs 51, or 1.06%, to Rs 4,752 per quintal, with an open interest of 76,920 lots.

October chana shed Rs 23, or 0.23%, to Rs 4,910 per quintal in 45,830 lots.

Market analysts said besides profit-booking by speculators at existing higher levels, sluggish demand in the domestic market kept pressure on chana prices at futures trade.
