Chana futures dips 3% on sluggish demand

Chana prices dipped by Rs 71 to Rs 2,297 per quintal in futures trade today, as speculators reduced their positions on subdued demand in the spot market. 

Adequate stocks position in the physical market also put pressure on the chana prices. 

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, chana for January tumbled by Rs 71, or 3 per cent to Rs 2,297 per quintal, with a business volume of single lot. 

Marketmen sluggish demand against adequate stocks, pulled down the chana prices at futures trade here.
