Chana prices moved down by Rs 10 to Rs 2,414 per quintal in futures trade today after speculators reduced their positions on the back of increased arrivals in the spot market against subdued demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in March contract declined by Rs 10, or 0.41 per cent, to Rs 2,414 per quintal, with an open interest of 58,930 lots.

Likewise, the commodity for delivery in April lost Rs 8, or 0.32 per cent, to Rs 2,528 per quintal, with an open interest of 83,480 lots.

Analysts said increased arrivals in the spot market, against subdued demand mainly helped chana futures prices to trade lower.
