Chana futures prices fell by Rs 21 to Rs 2,683 per quintal today on increased arrivals in the spot market, against sluggish demand.

At the National Commodity Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in April fell by Rs 21, or 0.78 per cent, to Rs 2,683 per quintal, with an open interest of 91,550 lots.

Similarly, the commodity for delivery in March declined by Rs 19, or 0.74 per cent, to Rs 2,566 per quintal, with a trade volume of 79,530 lots.

Analysts said increased arrivals in the spot market, against subdued demand mainly led to the decline in chana futures prices.
