Chana prices lost Rs 27 to Rs 3,275 per quintal in futures trade today on continued profit-booking by speculators amid subdued demand in the spot market and adequate stocks availability.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, November chana fell by Rs 27, or 0.82%, to Rs 3,275 per quintal, with an open interest for 137,530 lots.

The October contract shed Rs 26, or 0.82%, to Rs 3,130 per quintal in 134,850 lots.

Traders said continued profit-booking by speculators amid sluggish demand in the spot market mainly led to the decline in chana prices in futures trade.
