Chana prices rose further by Rs 7 to Rs 2,410 per quintal in futures trade today as speculators enlarged their positions, supported by rising demand in the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in May gained Rs 7, or 0.29%, to Rs 2,410 per quintal, with an open interest of 82,510 lots.

April chana was up Rs 5, or 0.21%, to Rs 2,356, with a business turnover of 1,11,910 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in chana prices due to the rising demand in the spot market.
