Chana prices declined by Rs 13 or 0.58 per cent to Rs 2,238 per quintal in futures trading today on increased arrivals in the spot market against sluggish demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, chana for July contract fell Rs 13, or 0.58 per cent to Rs 2,238 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,447 lots.

Similarly, the commodity for delivery in June contract shed Rs 6, or 0.27 per cent to Rs 2,187 per quintal in 315 lots.

Traders said, increased arrivals in spot market against sluggish demand mainly helped chana prices to trade lower at futures market.
