Chana prices declined by Rs 10 to Rs 2,538 per quintal in futures trade today on fresh selling influenced by increased arrivals in physical market.

On the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, chana for October month fell by Rs 10 or 0.39 per cent to Rs 2,538 per quintal with an open interest of 47,860 lots.

The chana for delivery in August month also lost Rs 8 or 0.33 per cent to Rs 2,401 per quintal in 11,8200 lots.

Marketmen said increased arrivals in the spot market against subdued demand mainly led to a fall in chana prices at futures trade.
