Chana futures prices rose by Rs 13 to Rs 2,395 per quintal today, as speculators enlarged their positions, driven by a rise in spot market demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, chana for delivery in December rose by Rs 13, or 0.55 per cent to Rs 2,395 per quintal, with a business turnover of two lots.

The commodity for delivery in November also gained Rs 4, or 0.17 per cent, to Rs 2,370 per quintal, with a business volume of two lots.

Market analysts said positions enlarged by speculators on pick up in demand in the spot market led to rise in chana futures prices.
