Chana prices rose by Rs 11 to Rs 2,536 per quintal in futures trade today on fresh buying by traders following pick-up in domestic demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, chana for June delivery rose by Rs 11, or 0.44% to Rs 2,536 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,84,340 lots.

The commodity for delivery in August also traded higher by Rs 8, or 0.30% to Rs 2,671 per quintal, with an open interest of 19,190 lots.

Market analysts said low-level buying by traders following pick-up in domestic demand mainly helped chana prices to trade higher at futures market.
