Chana prices rose by Rs 10 to Rs 2,681 per quintal in futures trade today due to a pick-up in demand in the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in July rose by Rs 10, or 0.37%, to Rs 2,681 per quintal with an open interest for 2,40,260 lots.

Similarly, chana for August contract delivery gained Rs 10, or 0.36%, to Rs 2,752 per quintal in 1,31,300 lots. Traders said a pick-up in demand in the spot market mainly pushed up chana futures prices.
