Chana futures prices shot up by Rs 65 to Rs 3,650 per quintal today as speculators enlarged their positions, tracking a firming trend in spot market in view of marriage season.
However, increased arrivals from producing region restricted the gain.
At the National Commodity Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in April shot up by Rs 65, or 1.81%, to Rs 3,650 per quintal, with an open interest of 98,570 lots.
