Chana trades higher in futures trade

Chana traded higher by Rs 2 to Rs 2,691 per quintal in futures trade today due to pick up in demand at the spot market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for August delivery traded higher by Rs 2, or 0.07%, to Rs 2,691 per quintal, with an open interest for 80,920 lots.

The June contract inched up by Re 1, or 0.04%, to Rs 2,545 per quintal, with a business turnover of 44,670 lots. 

Market analysts said pick-up in demand in the spot market mainly supported the uptrend in chana futures prices.
