Chana prices declined by Rs 11 or 0.50 per cent to Rs 2,184 per quintal in futures trade today, as traders booked profits, triggered by subdued demand in spot markets.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, chana for June contract declined by Rs 11 or 0.50 per cent to Rs 2,194 per quintal, with a business turnover of 15 lots.

Similarly, the chana delivery in July contract fell by Rs four or 0.18 per cent to Rs 2,235 per quintal, with a business volume of 31 lots.

Marketmen said subdued demand against adequate supplies in physical markets led to a fall in chana prices at futures market.
