Chana up 0.3% on rising spot demand

Commodity for delivery in October edged up by 0.10%

Chana prices were up by 0.30% to Rs 2,985 per quintal in futures trade today as speculators enlarged their positions, driven by rising demand in spot market.

At the National Commodity Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in November rose by Rs 9, or 0.30% to Rs 2,985 per quintal with an open interest of 69,570 lots.

Likewise, the commodity for delivery in October edged up by Rs 3, or 0.10% to Rs 2892 per quintal.

Market analysts said speculators enlarged their positions, driven by rising demand in the spot market, which mainly led to rise in chana prices at futures trade.
