Chana prices declined by Rs 41 to Rs 2,405 per 100 kg in futures trade today, as speculators preferred to book profits at existing higher levels against subdued demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, chana for December contract declined by Rs 41, or 1.68 per cent to Rs 2,405 per 100 kg.

Marketmen said speculators booking profits at existing higher levels mainly pulled down the prices.

They said subdued demand against adequate supplies in the physical market on hopes of increased output this season further dampened the trading sentiment in futures trade.
