Chilli and jeera prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on increased buying by stockists and retailers amid tight stocks.
Restricted supplies from producing regions also supported the rise in prices. Red chilli prices rose further by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 9,500-13,500 per quintal.
Jeera common and jeera best quality also by Rs 100 to conclude at Rs 14,500-14,800 and Rs 16,700-16,800 per quintal, respectively.
Market analysts said increased buying by stockists and retailers, following pick up in domestic demand mainly pushed up chilli and jeera prices on the wholesale market here.
