Chilli rises 1.12% on strong demand

Strong winter season triggered tge uptrend

Chilli futures for March rose by Rs 74, or 1.12%, to Rs 6,684 per quintal in 7,110 lots.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, the April contract moved up by Rs 52, or 0.77%, to Rs 6,776 per quintal in 4,355 lots.

Speculators enlarging their positions, a firm trend in domestic market on strong winter season demand and lower arrivals from producing regions pushed up chilli futures.
