Chilli prices fell by Rs 124 to Rs 8,746 per quintal in futures trading today on sluggish demand in the spot market against adequate stock availability.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, chilli for delivery in June fell by Rs 124, or 1.4%, to Rs 8,746 per quintal with an open interest for 12,570 lots.
The July contract shed Rs 108, or 1.19%, to Rs 9,000 per quintal in 6,525 lots.
Market analysts said a weak trend in the spot market on sluggish demand against the adequate stocks position mainly pulled down chilli prices in futures trade.
