Red chilli and turmeric prices rose further by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on fresh buying by stockists and exporters. Fall in supplies from producing regions against low stocks in the markets also supported the rise in prices.
Red chilli prices rose by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 9,100-13,100 per quintal. Turmeric also traded higher at Rs 8,300-14,300 against previous closing of Rs 8,200-14,200 per quintal.
Market analysts said fresh buying by stockists and exporters against low stocks mainly pushed up chilli and turmeric prices in the wholesale kirana market here.
