Red chilli and turmeric prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on fresh buying by stockists and retailers.

Restricted supplies from producing regions and a firming trend in futures trade also supported the rise in prices. Red chilli prices rose by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 9,400-13,400 per quintal.

Turmeric also traded higher at Rs 9,800-15,100 against previous closing of Rs 9,700-15,000 per quintal.
