Red chilli and turmeric prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on fresh buying by stockists and exporters.
Restricted supplies from producing regions also supported the rise in prices. Red chilli prices rose by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 9,100-13,100 per quintal.
Turmeric also traded higher at Rs 8,300-14,100 against previous closing of Rs 8,200-14,000 per quintal.
Market analysts said increased buying activity driven by pick-up in domestic and export demand, mainly pushed up chilli and turmeric prices on the wholesale kirana market here.
