Chilli up 1.4% on pick-up in demand

Tight supplies from producing region also pushed up chilli futures trade

Chilli futures for March rose by Rs 94, or 1.43%, to Rs 6,684 per quintal in 6,780 lots.

At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange (NCDEX), the April contract moved up by Rs 72, or 1.07%, to Rs 6,822 per quintal in 6,455 lots.

Prices rose as speculators created fresh positions, tracking a firm spot market trends on pick-up in demand.

Tight supplies from producing region also pushed up chilli futures trade.
