Citric acid prices drifted by Rs 50 per 50 kg in the national capital today on stockists selling coupled with reduced offtake by consuming industries.
Increased arrivals from overseas markets also put pressure on the prices. Citric acid China declined by Rs 50 to Rs 2,550-3,000 per 50 kg.
Traders said subdued demand from consuming industries, mainly pulled down citric acid prices at the wholesale chemical market here.
Other chemicals held steady to weak owing to poor demand.
