Claris Lifesciences gallops on multiple block deals

The stock has zoomed 16% to Rs 229 on back of heavy volumes on the BSE.

Claris Lifesciences has galloped 16% to Rs 229 in early morning deals on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on back of multiple block deals.

At 0920 hours, around 39 million shares representing 60% of the total equity capital of the pharmaceutical company have changed hands on the counter.

According to information available on BSE website, about 28 million shares have changed hands at price of Rs 216, 7 million shares executed at Rs 218.50 and 2 million shares was executed at price of Rs 221 per share.

The name of the buyers and sellers are not immediately known.

The promoters along with Arjun S. Handa held 60.21% stake or 38.42 million shares in the company. Foreign institutional investors held 14.77% holding and domestic institutional investors held 11.42% stake, while the remaining 13.6% holdings are with the individual shareholders and others.
