A recent seminar on the problems faced by the Co-operative Housing Societies threw up some unconventional solutions from representatives of the co-operative department.
The event was the first of its kind and was organised jointly by Dilip S Gosavi, divisional joint registrar of Co-operative Societies, Mumbai division, with the Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry (MCHI), Estate Agents Association of India and the Co-operative Societies Residents and Users Association.
At the seminar, the officials for once were ready to face the realities which often remain hidden behind statistics. This was perhaps the first time in the history of co-operative movement that the senior officers replied to so many questions at a gathering.
