The stocks of companies engaged in the fertilisers business have closed higher, barring a few, at the end of three months on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). However, prices have eased since September.
 
Share price of Basant Agro Tech India rose from Rs 7.86 on August 2, to today's close of Rs 13.56, up 72.51 per cent on BSE.
 
Chambal Fertilisers rose from Rs 20.65 to Rs 20.70, up 0.24 per cent, Coromandel Fertilisers declined from Rs 119.60 to Rs 155.00 up 29.59 per cent and EID Parry gained from Rs 223.10 to Rs 329.10, up 47.51 per cent.
 
FACT gained from Rs 26.80 to Rs 33.10, up 23.5 per cent, Godavari Fertilisers and Chemicals increased from Rs 42.25 to Rs 61.10, up 44.61 per cent, GNFC moved up from Rs 49.20 to Rs 57.65, up 17 per cent and GSFC appreciated from Rs 58.35 to Rs 73.30, up 25.62 per cent.
 
RCF gained from Rs 32.54 to Rs 34.10, up 4.7 per cent, SPIC increased from Rs 10.06 to Rs 14.20, up 25 per cent, Nagarjuna Fertilisers moved up from Rs 7.91to Rs 9.50, up 20.19 per cent and Zuari Ind appreciated from Rs 39.79 to Rs 46.95. Deepak Fertilisers increased from Rs 32.25 to Rs 39.40 while Mangalore Chem rose from Rs 6.00 to Rs 7.25. Khaitan Chemicals & Fert rose from Rs 20.30 to Rs 30.20.
 
National Fertilisers lost ground from Rs 36.75 to Rs 36.35 while Indo Gulf Fertilisers (DM) declined from Rs 105.60 to Rs 100.40.
