SUGAR

Faster than expected closure of mills in Karnataka and Maharashtra will lower sugar output by 2-2.5 million tonnes from last year. Moreover, lower planting so far will also lead to higher prices. Currently, sugar is trading at Rs 3,250 per quintal in Kolhapur and is likely to trade towards Rs 3,300 per quintal in the coming week

WHEAT

Wheat spot prices in Delhi market are trading at Rs 1,702 per quintal. Prices are expected to trade lower towards Rs 1,670 per quintal in a couple of weeks due to increased supplies, following arrivals in south and central India and commencement of harvesting in north India
