Copper prices declined by Rs 2 per kg in the local metal market today on fresh selling by stockists, influenced by a weak trend in prices at the London Metal Exchange (LME).

Reduced offtake from consuming industries, particularly alloy-makers also influenced the copper prices.

Meanwhile, copper for three-month fell 1.4 per cent to $7,322.25 a metric tonne on the LME.

In the national capital, copper wire scrap, copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap were down by Rs 2 each to Rs 370, Rs 389 and Rs 350 per kg, respectively.
